Registration is coming soon for this not-to-be-missed event for parents and friends of FPC Youth.  Stay for lunch after church (lunch and childcare available for members) and then join with other parents for the film viewing and panel discussion at 1:00 p.m.  What is the “Race to Nowhere”?  View the trailer here

Retreat and Mission Trip Opportunities!

High School Spring Retreat Registration Deadline THIS SUNDAY, February 17!!

On March 2nd High School students will head to Houston for a retreat focused on urban missions. We will leave the church at 5:00pm and spend our weekend serving with “Generation One”, partnering with them to repair homes in the Third Ward of Houston. This may include painting, roof work, and other house repairs. We will sleep at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church and will return around 4:00pm on Sunday, March 4th.   A  “what to bring”  list will be emailed to registrants one week before the trip. Summer Mission Trips

High School Mission Adventure

Mission and Adventure:
This summer our mission trip is going to have a twist.  We will spend half our time serving non-profit organizations in Santa Fe and the other half participating in high adventure activities like rock climbing, canoeing, and hiking.  Sign up soon because space is limited!  Friends are always invited.    More details can be found in the Trip Brochure!

Middle School Urban Plunge

June 3-8, 2012

What is Urban Plunge?
This year FPC Middle School Youth will be heading to Houston, where we will partner with Generation One.  We will lodge at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church overnight and spend our days repainting a home in the impoverished third Ward community.  More details can be found int he attached brochure!

MID -WEEK GATHERINGS

Mid-week gatherings are smaller and more intimate than Sunday school. They provide a unique atmosphere where students can relax, be themselves, play, study scripture and talk about life. Times and locations may vary, so please visit the youth website (firstpresyouthministry.com) frequently.

Middle school students will be joining this church-wide series Wednesday nights. We will eat, worship, play and study together. Middle school students will enjoy dinner and fellowship at their own tables with youth leaders. After dinner, students and leaders gather in the New Covenant Building for their small group time. There is an optional 30-minute session of Youth Choir before the dinner hour for those students interested.
